About Stacy
Stacy grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She attended Cedar Rapids Washington High School and went onto the University of Iowa where she played on the women’s basketball team. After one year she transferred to Iowa State University where she graduated with a double major in marketing and management (entrepreneurship) and a minor in German. She later earned her MBA from the University of Southern Indiana.
Stacy was a two time All-American on the Iowa State University women’s basketball team. She was a three-time 1st team All-Big 12 selection and was selected by the Utah Starzz in the 2000 WNBA Draft. She played professionally for two seasons in the WNBA and in France. She was inducted into the Iowa State University Hall of Fame in 2015.
After playing she accepted a position as an assistant women’s basketball coach at the University of Evansville in Indiana. She coached for three seasons after which time she knew it was time to return to eastern Iowa to be closer to home and to start a family.
She began her real estate career as an intern for her family's real estate business, Frese Property Management. She assisted her parents and brother managing their rentals, hotels and office buildings. She then transitioned into the appraisal business. After originally being trained in residential work she knew she wanted to get into the commercial field. She was lucky enough to find a local certified commercial appraiser to train her. The rest is history as they say!
Stacy and her husband Brian reside in Cedar Rapids.
